How PaisaBachau gets its prices
PaisaBachau collects product listings from Nepali online stores and from Hamrobazar classifieds with automated scrapers, groups listings of the same product, and publishes one price range per product in Nepali rupees. New store prices lead; second-hand listings are labelled and kept separate; accessories and other models are excluded; and every price page states the date of the most recent price change we recorded.
Where the prices come from
We read the public product listings of these Nepali online stores: Daraz, SY Bazaar, Jeevee, ForEveryNg, Mobile Mandu, Hukut, GBN Store. Daraz, SY Bazaar, Jeevee and ForEveryNg are general online stores and marketplaces; Mobile Mandu, Hukut and GBN Store are phone and gadget specialists.
We also read Hamrobazar, Nepal's largest classifieds site. Hamrobazar listings are posted by private sellers and small shops, so we treat them as second-hand or private-seller listings, never as store stock, even when a seller describes an item as brand new.
For each listing we record the product name, price, store, link and the condition the seller states. PaisaBachau does not sell anything and adds no markup: the store sets the final price, stock and warranty.
How often prices are updated
A scheduler runs every 10 minutes and re-checks a small batch of tracked searches across all stores, choosing the most popular and the longest-unchecked first. It concentrates on the pages we publish, so the full set of published price pages is cycled through in roughly two weeks, and popular pages more often.
Whenever a visitor runs a live search on paisabachau.com, the stores are checked immediately and the results are saved, so frequently searched products are refreshed far more often than the schedule alone.
Price pages are rebuilt from the saved listings at most once an hour.
The date on each page ("as of 2 Oct 2026", for example) is the most recent price change we recorded among the listings behind the stated price. A price that has not changed keeps its earlier date, so the date is conservative: the price may have been re-checked more recently than it says.
How the headline price range is chosen
A search for a product returns many listings that are not that product: cases, screen glass, chargers, spare parts, and neighbouring models. Before any price is published we:
- Group listings of the same product together and keep only groups that actually match the search.
- On model pages (for example "Samsung S26 Ultra"), require the listing title to name the model, and reject variants the search did not ask for, so the S26 page never takes an S26 Ultra price.
- Exclude accessories and price outliers with a plausibility band, and never publish a starting price below Rs 1,000 (sub-Rs 1,000 "prices" on product pages were consistently accessories).
- Use new store listings first. When a tracked store sells the product new, only those store listings set the range. Refurbished, renewed and used store listings never set a new price.
- Fall back to Hamrobazar only when no tracked store lists the product new, and then say so on the page. No structured-data offer is published for a classified-only price.
- If nothing passes these checks, publish no price at all. The page then says that no price is confirmed yet, rather than guessing.
Second-hand prices
Second-hand pages (paisabachau.com/price/<product>/used) use Hamrobazar listings only, with the same matching and outlier checks. Condition labels (such as "Like new") are the seller's own claim and are not verified by us.
Removing sold and deleted listings
Hamrobazar sellers delete listings constantly. A daily job checks saved Hamrobazar listings against Hamrobazar's own listing page and removes the ones that have been taken down, starting with the products on our published pages. Store listings take the store's current price each time a search is re-checked.
Limits
Stores can change a price at any moment, so always confirm the price on the store's own page before buying. Prices for the same product can differ between official-warranty and grey-market stock.
